We ate at Angels on 8-7-2024. The food, our server and the decor took us back to the day when going to the Diner to eat was a big deal. We will be back! Kid-friendliness: The dining car might not be large, but kids would enjoy seeing how it was to eat out back in the day.

Had a lunch stop in Palatka, FL and Angels Dining Car that has been in this location since 1932!! The chicken livers were cooked to perfection soft centers with a crunchy outside plus the Angels signature sandwiches have eggs, bacon, beef patties & cheese! Its located right next to St Johns River bridge on the west side. Loved the golden oldies music playing and waitresses were very prompt and attentive, Such a great and pleasant surprise gem of a quaint restaurant!

I have heard great things about this restaurant but I was sadly let down. I brought my entire family that was from out of town and did not have a great experience. First the waitress was rude and too busy to be bothered with us. By the way we were the only ones sitting outside. No other customers. We wanted to order appetizers and she said we order everything together and refused to take the app order. We all ordered apps and dinner plus shakes she said she needed to go change then would take our order. Nothing but attitude the entire time then we go in and the cook was gaping while cooking. So not impressed!

I do not normally take time to rate places I visit, so being that I am making a point of doing so for this diner, it is because I found it exceptional. There is a reason that this place has been around for 90 years. It was my first time dining here and although the place is apparently well known for their burgers, I cannot eat beef. So, I decided to try their fried fish sandwich. I found their flounder sandwich to be best fish sandwich I have eaten anywhere in the USA! And I travel all over this country. I also was fortunate in that the included side order was their delicious onion rings. Very crunchy outside, tender, sweet onion inside, and not a drop of grease on them. Incredible! To top it off, the server was quick, friendly, professional and non-pushy. For such an unassuming little diner, I was totally floored!!! I shall return with others to share in this small town gem.

If youre looking to step back in time and have been wanting to dive in to some nostalgic feels, then Angels is for you. Youll be welcomed with large patio seating and a tiny counter inside what appears to be an old airstream-esque building. Angels has been slinging classics since 1932. It is Florida oldest diner. The food however, is merely average. While the burgers were properly cooked to temp, they lack seasoning. The slaw dog is your typical jumbo dog covered with store bought slaw. The onion rings had potential to be great, but just lacked seasoning and texture. The milkshakes were proper though. If youre in the area and feeling nostalgic, grab a burger. If youre going out the way for this, skip it.

Was just there with my hubby ordered the biggest burgers and fries and onion ring with sweet tea, of course and order for each and they were the best burgers Ive ever had. The server was awesome. Would go there a million more times. A place for the whole family to enjoy such a great meal. Keep it up. God bless you all.

Was staying at the hotel next to this dinning spot. Saw an elder couple w/ a shirt that said angles dinner. Oldest in Florida so I immediately looked it up and noticed it was across the street from my hotel. Went to check it out w/ some friends and wow the food was delicious. The space inside was small for the 7 of us so we sat a the outdoor tabeles. I had a Goliath w/ cheese and bacon and order a side of loaded fries. Shared a banana milkshake w/ a friend but overall the food and atmosphere of the spot was great. If I m ever in Palatka again I m stopping there to try some other dishes. Super recommended spot!

This was a great little diner! We stopped here after hanging out at the beach and this definitely hit the spot. Nice that they are dog friendly as well. The burger was cooked perfectly and very tasty. We split a bunch of sides and highly recommend the corn nuggets, onion rings and fried pickles! Well definitely stop by again whenever were passing through!
